Overview

This six to seven-hour bus tour in Ica begins with a visit to Hacienda Tacama, the oldest winery in South America, where guests see the production of wines, pisco, and sparkling wines and take part in tastings. On Mondays, the visit to Tacama is replaced by Hacienda Vista Alegre of similar standing. Next, the tour continues to El Arrabal winery estate, set in a landscape with fruit trees and horses. Visitors learn about the history of pisco and wine, taste artisanal products, and have the option to eat lunch at the on-site tourist restaurant, with food costs paid individually. The final part of the tour heads to the Huacachina Oasis, surrounded by large sand dunes. Here, participants take a dune buggy ride and practice sandboarding lying down on the board. The buggy ride usually lasts about two hours, but on official holidays in Peru, it is reduced to approximately one hour. Transfers from the hotel or bus station in Ica are included at the start and end of the tour.
