Overview

The highlight of this seven-hour day trip is reaching Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe. From here, visitors can spend about two hours exploring the Alpine Sensation exhibition that marks the 100-year anniversary of the Jungfrau Railway. The tour includes a visit to the Sphinx Observation Terrace and Plateau, which offer panoramic views of snow-covered peaks, neighboring countries, and the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps. The Ice Palace, a series of tunnels carved inside the glacier, is also part of the visit. The journey begins at the Outdoor Interlaken Shop where the guide meets the group. Travelers then take a coach through the Jungfrau region to Grindelwald. At Grindelwald Terminal, participants board the Eiger Express gondola to Eiger Glacier station, enjoying views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. From there, the cogwheel train climbs to Jungfraujoch. After the visit, the cogwheel train descends past Wengen to Lauterbrunnen, where the coach is waiting to return to Interlaken at the original departure point. This fully guided tour includes seat reservations on the Eiger Express cable car and cogwheel train as well as transportation in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach. The tour is carbon-balanced through certification by myclimate. Food, drinks, hotel pickup, gratuities, and personal expenses are not included. Weather conditions may affect access to some attractions.
