Hotel pickup and drop-off are available from select locations, with pickup starting about two hours before the tour departure. Guests staying in Hervey Bay are picked up at Buccaneer Drive, and those in Rainbow Beach at Rainbow Beach Road. Confirmation of pickup time must be made by calling the local operator at least 48 hours before departure. The tour is not suitable for people with walking disabilities or wheelchair users. Guests should bring zinc sunscreen, a hat, and swimwear. Audio guides in multiple languages are available through the K'gari Explorer Tours app. Accommodation requires a credit card pre-authorization or payment with a refundable bond. Child seats must be requested in advance if needed, and infants under one year are not permitted. Queensland law requires all passengers to wear seat belts on the coach at all times.
