Overview
This scuba diving tour in Kauai lasts about two and a half hours and takes place in small groups of four or fewer divers. The dive begins with detailed instructions, a site briefing, and information about local marine ecology and fish identification. A PADI Professional Dive Instructor guides the dive to ensure safety and support. Participants use provided scuba equipment and receive bottled water and snacks during the tour. There is an option to upgrade to a second dive at the dive site if one tank dive is not enough. The dive site offers opportunities to see Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. This activity requires participants to be able to swim and feel comfortable in the open ocean. All divers must complete a medical questionnaire before diving, which may restrict participation for safety reasons. Participants must weigh under 300 pounds. Final confirmation is provided directly by Dive Kauai after speaking with their reservations team. Gratuities and trip protection under the 24-hour cancellation policy are not included.

Discover Scuba Diving Orientation
Non-certified first-time divers participate in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program offered by Dive Kauai, which includes instruction on basic scuba diving safety rules and guidelines. Following a detailed, practical orientation, divers enter shallow water to practice four essential scuba skills intended to build confidence and demonstrate the ease of scuba diving. Upon successful completion of the skills, divers are permitted to dive up to 40 feet deep under direct supervision of PADI instructors. The full 1 tank introductory dive experience lasts about 2.5 to 3 hours from arrival to departure. Final reservation confirmation must be made with Dive Kauai's Reservations Team. Flying is prohibited within 18 hours after diving; details will be provided upon confirmation.
