Overview

This three-hour snorkeling tour visits Kealakekua Bay, a 315-acre marine sanctuary known for calm, protected waters ideal for beginner snorkelers. The tour begins near the bay, allowing a full hour of snorkeling in front of the Captain James Cook Monument. After snorkeling, the vessel travels along the South Kona coastline back to Keauhou Bay. During the return, the captain navigates into sea caves at the base of Hualalai volcano while pointing out local geological formations and cultural sites. Wildlife such as dolphins, whales, sea turtles, and large groups of goats may be seen along the way.
