Overview

The tour begins by meeting the express bus at the final pickup point in Orlando, avoiding the early morning bus ride. During the trip to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, certified guides provide detailed information about the space center to prepare visitors for the day. At the visitor complex, guests have about eight hours to explore. They can walk through exhibits featuring rockets, meet an astronaut, watch a 3D IMAX movie, touch a moon rock, and ride the Shuttle Launch Experience simulator. The Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex attraction, opened in 2022, offers four rides that simulate journeys through the solar system and beyond. Visitors will also see the Space Shuttle Atlantis up close and can test shuttle mission simulators that demonstrate docking and landing procedures. The tour includes a bus transfer to the Apollo/Saturn V Center, where guests spend about two hours viewing the Saturn V rocket, the Apollo 8 Firing Room exhibit, lunar modules, and moon rock displays. The Heroes & Legends exhibit, featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, is also part of the visit. The day ends with time for shopping at the space center’s large gift shop before returning to Orlando on the shared express bus in the late afternoon. Food, drinks, gratuities, and souvenir photos are not included. Admission is not available on blackout dates for special launches.
