by Honest Eco Kayak and Snorkel
This 4-hour dolphin watching and guided snorkeling day trip operates in Key West, USA, on a boat designed by MIT-trained naval architect David Walworth to provide a quiet and smooth ride optimized for wildlife viewing. The trip is biologist owned and operated, with crew members trained by professional biologists who prepare on land with marine research before practicing seamanship on the water. The tour begins with dolphin watching from the boat, followed by guided snorkeling using provided equipment. Bottled water and snacks are included, and the boat has an onboard bathroom for convenience. Towels and sunscreen are not provided. The trip takes place in small groups to ensure a more personal experience. Parking at the marina is available but not included.
Meeting-Point-and-Boarding
The captain will be met at SQUID 20 minutes before departure for boarding. The crew is trained by biologists. The boat used is the quietest wildlife viewing vessel in the Keys, heading to a location that hosts over 200 wild Bottlenose Dolphins year-round. Dolphins are usually found within an hour in calm waters. After dolphin observation, the boat proceeds to a snorkeling site with sponges, coral heads, or reef, selected for optimal visibility that day. A crew member guides snorkeling, identifying local animals and answering questions. No refunds are given for missed departures. It is recommended to bike or take a cab, as marina parking is not included and may fill up in the afternoon.
