Overview

The tour departs from Broome early in the morning with a pickup between 4:30 and 5:00 am. Guests travel by bus north along the Dampier Peninsula to the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, where they board the luxury vessel Ohana. The cruise proceeds through the Buccaneer Archipelago, passing locations such as Hidden Island, Silica Beach, Cockatoo Island, and Koolan Island. Breakfast is served on board during the cruise while guests may see wildlife including flying fish, sea eagles, dolphins, turtles, and humpback whales. The crew provides information about the geography, history, and culture of the Kimberley region. Upon reaching Talbot Bay, guests transfer to smaller tender boats to approach the Horizontal Falls. The falls are a tidal phenomenon that changes with the tides. For safety and cultural reasons, the falls are not crossed, respecting the wishes of the traditional owners, the Dambeemangarddee people. After returning to the main vessel, a seven-course lunch featuring Western Australian seafood and local ingredients is served while the guide continues to provide information about the area. The return cruise follows the Dampier Peninsula back to Cygnet Bay, where guests board the transfer bus for the approximately two-hour trip back to Broome or their drop-off point. The total duration of the tour is about thirteen and a half hours. Included throughout the day are breakfast, lunch, snacks, tea, coffee, carbonated and alcoholic beverages, as well as all fees and taxes.
