Motonosumi Shrine Visiting Hours: From March 1st, the main hall of the shrine will be closed for worship on Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese national holidays, and from May 2nd to 10th, and August 8th to 16th. The red torii gate area along the coast can be visited as usual. This is a one-day itinerary that combines "sea views + gourmet food + shrines + night views." Starting from Hakata, you can easily visit popular attractions in Yamaguchi and Kitakyushu. With a dedicated car for the entire trip, there's no need for transfers, making the journey more hassle-free. In the morning, you'll pass by the Kanmon Bridge for a car tour. The bridge view spanning the strait, coupled with passing ships, creates a vast and open scene. Afterwards, you'll arrive at Karato Market for free activities. This market gathers various fresh seafood and sushi, allowing you to browse and eat as you please, choosing according to your preferences. It's a relaxed and engaging stop in the day's itinerary. In the afternoon, head to Motonosumi Shrine. The red torii gates lined along the coast extend all the way to the cliff edge, creating a strong visual impact. It offers both great photo opportunities and sea views, with ample time to stroll and take in the sights. In the evening, return to Kitakyushu and ascend Mount Sarakura. Take the cable car up the mountain, and from dusk until nightfall, witness the city lights gradually illuminating, overlooking the entire night view. This is the highlight and perfect ending to the entire route. Note: Sunset times vary with the season. Both the sunset and night view are equally spectacular, and we look forward to your visit! The overall pace is comfortable, not rushed or tiring. You can enjoy local specialties and capture iconic scenery, making it suitable for first-time visitors to this area who wish to efficiently visit multiple classic attractions in one day. ⚠️ Travel Notice August 8th to August 16th is the Obon holiday travel peak in Japan, which may lead to traffic congestion, large crowds, attractions closing early, or itinerary adjustments. Please do not book dinner, flights, or Shinkansen for that day, and it is recommended to bring a power bank. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
