Overview

Krka National Park in central Dalmatia features numerous waterfalls along the Krka River, including the well-known travertine cascades. This full-day tour from Split travels by air-conditioned bus to the park, where visitors follow a wooden walkway through varied landscapes with endemic birds, fish, and butterflies. The route includes views of the Jaruga hydroelectric power plant, one of Europe's oldest. After exploring the park for about three hours with a guide, the tour continues with a boat cruise on the Krka River to the town of Skradin. Guests have free time there to walk through the town, climb a fortress for panoramic views, have lunch or a drink in local bars and restaurants, or swim at a nearby beach where the river meets the sea. The final stop is a small village winery where a local winemaker presents a tasting of three types of Dalmatian wine and spirits, accompanied by samples of homemade olive oil, cheese, and bread. The tour includes transportation, the boat cruise, wine and food tastings, a guide, and insurance. National park entry tickets must be purchased on the day in cash.
