This private evening tour in Kuala Selangor begins with a visit to Bukit Melawati, where Fort Altingsburg and its lighthouse stand on a hill surrounded by tall trees that are home to local birds and monkeys. After about 30 minutes here, the group travels to a nearby fishing village for a set seafood dinner featuring local, simple dishes. Following dinner, the tour proceeds to Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park. Around 6:30 pm, participants board a shared boat with life jackets provided, which is rowed along the Selangor River. The riverbanks are lined with “Berembang” trees that host thousands of fireflies blinking in sync, creating a bright light display that lasts two to three hours starting about an hour after sunset. The full tour lasts about six hours and includes hotel pickup and drop-off in Kuala Lumpur, a private air-conditioned vehicle, an English-speaking driver and guide, all tolls and taxes, insurance, and the boat trip to see the fireflies. Drinks during dinner and optional gratuities are not included.
