Overview

Take a local bus and tour Aso's main tourist attractions in one day. Experience magnificent nature and history, and visit Aso's two major tourist attractions: Aso-san and Aso Shrine. Includes Aso Red Beef Burger & White Pork Burger Set Meal On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, a helicopter flying near the crater of Mount Aso went missing. Currently, search and rescue operations are underway, and the road to the Mount Aso crater has been closed, preventing visitors from accessing the crater. The reopening date of the road has not yet been determined. ・If you get off at "Kusasenri Aso Volcano Museum," you can use the time at Aso-san Bus Terminal for free activities at Kusasenri. ・Although the crater cannot be visited, the Aso-san Bus Terminal will operate as usual, and you can proceed with your tour itinerary. ・On August 14, 2026, the volcanic eruption alert level for Mount Aso was raised to Level 3 (entry restriction). Due to this, entry is completely prohibited within approximately 2 km of the Nakadake First Crater. Therefore, it is currently not possible to visit the Aso Nakadake Crater, nor is it possible to go to the Aso-san Bus Terminal. The reopening date has not yet been determined. For this reason, during the restricted period, the itinerary will be changed to get off at the "Kusasenri Aso Volcano Museum Front" bus stop, which is outside the restricted area.
