This activity will take you on a nostalgic Sagano Romantic Train ride, where you can admire the seasonal beauty of the Hozugawa River valley. Afterwards, you'll transfer to a traditional wooden boat, expertly rowed by boatmen, to drift downstream and deeply experience the natural beauty of Kyoto's mountains and rivers. Whether it's spring cherry blossoms, summer greenery, autumn foliage, or winter snow, this trip offers a double delight for both sight and soul. Sagano Romantic Train: A Nostalgic Railway Through the Valley Scenery We offer a variety of meticulously designed plans to meet your different travel needs. Hozugawa River Rafting: A Dialogue Between Traditional Wooden Boats and Nature After the train journey, we will transfer to a traditional Hozugawa River rafting boat. Skilled boatmen will row us downstream from Kameoka to Arashiyama. This river section is approximately 16 kilometers long, passing by unique rock formations, clear streams, and lush green valleys. This itinerary includes transportation from Kyoto or Osaka, eliminating the hassle of planning your own travel. You can freely choose whether to experience Hozugawa River rafting, offering high flexibility! The itinerary also includes free time for travelers to explore the Arashiyama area, such as strolling through the famous Bamboo Grove, visiting Tenryu-ji Temple, and tasting authentic Kyoto sweets and wagashi!

Sagano Romantic Train/Boat Ride Notes If you cannot provide a Sagano Romantic Train ticket, a refund of 880 JPY per person will be issued through the platform. Guests who choose the plan without the Hozugawa River Boat Ride experience can purchase tickets on-site on the day, but please note that boarding may not be possible due to weather or other factors (e.g., maximum capacity reached). If you choose not to participate in the Hozugawa River Boat Ride, you will need to wait until the passengers participating in the boat ride have boarded before the bus proceeds to Arashiyama. The Hozugawa River Boat Ride experience may be suspended due to weather or other factors, but the rest of the itinerary will proceed as scheduled. In case of suspension, the free time in Arashiyama will be automatically extended, and the boat ticket fee will be partially refunded by the platform after the trip: 4000 JPY/person for adults, 3000 JPY/person for children (the refund amount is for group special rates). We appreciate your understanding. Sagano Romantic Train seats cannot be specified. Attire and Items to Bring Each guest may bring one suitcase (maximum size).
