This 90-minute hands-on cooking class at Kyoto’s Ramen Factory allows participants to make their own ramen from scratch. The session includes making noodles, draining them, mixing the soup, and roasting chicken. The class provides a tour escort or host to guide through each step. Vegetarian, vegan, and Muslim-friendly options are available, with no pork, no alcohol, and halal chicken meat. After cooking, participants enjoy tasting the ramen they prepared. Local taxes and lunch are included, but drinks are not provided.
Ramen-Making Class
Each table includes a guide book with step-by-step instructions for making ramen. Instructors are available for assistance. Participants will prepare everything from kneading and rolling the dough, cutting and boiling the noodles, to draining them. For the chicken garnish, they will tie the meat with string, season and cook it, then slice it to the desired length. Tofu can be provided instead of chicken for vegetarian or vegan options if requested in advance. Various broth types and sauces are offered for blending. Finally, the boiled noodles are combined with the soup and toppings to complete the dish.
