Overview

Miyama Thatched Village The Miyama Thatched Village is located in Nantan City, on the outskirts of Kyoto, and retains Japan's most primitive rural village scenery. It is also one of Japan's three major "Gassho-style" house villages, along with Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture and Ouchi-juku in Fukushima Prefecture, and is an important preservation district for traditional buildings. Amanohashidate (One of Japan's Three Most Scenic Views) Amanohashidate is located in northern Kyoto Prefecture. About 8,000 pine trees form a continuous street tree line on the 3.6 km long sandbar that separates the Aso Sea of the Sea of Japan from Miyazu Bay. It is listed as one of the "Three Most Scenic Views of Japan," along with Matsushima (Miyagi Prefecture) and Miyajima (Hiroshima Prefecture). """Umbrella Pine Park will be closed for maintenance from June 2 to June 11, 2025. During this period, it will be changed to View Land. Thank you for your understanding.""" Ine Town Ine Town is located on the Tango Peninsula in northern Kyoto. The quiet and rustic fishing village streets are built along the coast of Ine Bay, stretching for nearly 5 kilometers. With its green mountains, clear waters, and beautiful environment, it has been named one of Japan's 18 most beautiful villages.
