Overview

Bonsai is the Japanese art of expressing nature in miniature — a symbol of balance and calm. In this hands-on workshop, you'll design your own mini bonsai from a choice of pots, trees, moss, sand, and stones, with staff guiding you every step. No experience needed! Made with realistic artificial plants, it needs no watering and never wilts. And as it's not a living plant, there are no customs or quarantine restrictions — bring it home on the plane with complete peace of mind, and keep it forever. In about an hour you'll finish a one-of-a-kind keepsake: a lovely gift and a real memory of Kyoto.
