Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine: Walking through the 97 stone lantern approach, it feels like stepping into the fantasy world of "Hotarubi no Mori e"; the moss-covered ancient stone steps and deep, quiet cedar forest fill this mountain shrine with mysterious spiritual energy. Mount Aso Crater: Mount Aso is one of Japan's most active volcanoes. You can experience the majestic power of the Nakadake crater up close, where the greenish-blue volcanic lake intertwines with constantly rising white smoke. Standing at the observation deck, it feels like you can hear the Earth breathing. Kusasenri: A vast grassland at the northern foot of Mount Eboshi, with a rainwater pond nestled in the center of a basin about 1 km in diameter. Strolling through it, the distant crater emits light smoke, and nearby green grass sways with the wind, creating Aso's most representative natural landscape. Kurokawa Onsen: A cluster of wooden ryokans built along the Chikugo River, with stone paths, stone lanterns, and rising steam. The entire hot spring town is like one large ryokan. In the evening, carry a bamboo basket to enjoy a "Nyuto Tegata" hot spring tour, experiencing the most traditional Japanese hot spring culture. From the mystery of the deep mountain shrine, the awe of the active volcano, to the vastness of the highland grassland and the healing of the ancient hot springs, one route connects four distinct faces of Kyushu, and every stop is worth lingering over. ⚠️ Travel Notice August 8th – August 16th is the peak travel season for Japan's Obon Festival, which may lead to traffic congestion, large crowds, attractions closing early, or changes in itinerary times. Please do not book dinner, flights, or Shinkansen for the same day, and it is recommended to bring a power bank. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
