This is a meticulously designed one-day tour route of Lake Biwa, tailored to the four seasons. Depending on the departure date, the itinerary will feature the most representative attractions of the season, allowing you to admire the most captivating scenery at the most ideal time. In spring, visit Hikone Castle, one of Shiga's three major cherry blossom viewing spots, and experience the serene beauty beyond Kyoto amidst the lakeside scenery where the ancient castle and cherry blossoms intertwine. In summer, take the popular Michigan cruise ship and leisurely admire the magnificent scenery of Lake Biwa, Japan's largest lake, from the lake's perspective. In autumn, head to Hieizan Enryakuji Temple, a World Heritage Site, and experience Japan's most solemn autumn colors amidst the ancient temple and mountains of autumn leaves. In winter, take a cable car to Biwako Valley, and experience the pure scenery unique to winter amidst the snow-white plateau and panoramic views of Lake Biwa. The tour will also visit the super-popular Instagram spot, La Collina Omihachiman, where you can admire the fairytale-like thatched-roof buildings and freely purchase limited-edition sweets such as freshly baked Baumkuchen. A delicious authentic Japanese meal is specially arranged for lunch, making the journey more relaxed. In the afternoon, head to Nara Park to interact with adorable deer and visit Todai-ji Temple's Great Buddha of Nara, a World Heritage Site, adding historical and cultural depth to the trip. The tour concludes with a return to Osaka, where you will be dropped off in the Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori area, allowing you to freely enjoy shopping and dining, bringing a perfect end to this fulfilling day trip.
