Overview

This full-day bus tour lasts about 8 to 11 hours and travels from Calgary or Banff to several natural landmarks in the Canadian Rockies. The tour includes stops at Banff, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake (open June 1 to October 13), the Lower Spiral Tunnels viewpoint, Emerald Lake, and the Natural Bridge in Yoho National Park. The tour begins with a bus ride from Calgary to Banff, where travelers are picked up. At Lake Louise, guests can take photos of the turquoise waters and hike nearby trails. In winter (November to mid-April), snowshoes are provided for a 20-minute walk on the frozen lake. Moraine Lake’s vivid turquoise waters are visible during summer months; if the lake is closed, the tour visits Vermillion Lakes instead. The Lower Spiral Tunnels viewpoint shows the railway’s engineering solution to steep mountain grades, where the train track loops beneath itself twice. In Yoho National Park, the tour stops at Emerald Lake, the largest in the park, surrounded by peaks of the Continental Divide. The Natural Bridge stop shows a rock formation carved by water erosion. The trip ends with a return bus ride to Calgary. The tour includes a bilingual guide, air-conditioned transport, park fees, and pickup and drop-off in Calgary or Banff. Lunch is not included but a deluxe lunch at Chateau Lake Louise is available to purchase.
