by Cat Ba Local Tour
This small-group tour from Cat Ba lasts eight hours and covers both Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay in Vietnam. The trip begins with a boat cruise through the karst islands, limestone archways, lagoons, and tunnels of Lan Ha Bay. Participants will have the opportunity to kayak in calm waters to explore small caves and natural formations. The tour includes a visit to Cai Beo fishing and floating villages to observe local life. There is time allocated for swimming, relaxing on beaches, and watching black kites as they hunt for fish. Lunch is served on board the air-conditioned boat, with a vegetarian option available upon request at booking. An English-speaking licensed guide leads all activities. Drinks are not included but can be purchased separately.
Lan Ha-Ha Long Bay Cruise and Kayak
The tour starts at 8:15 to avoid busy hours. At 8:30, the boat leaves Cat Ba Island, cruising through Lan Ha Bay past Cai Beo Fishing Village and many karst towers shaped like chopsticks and seals. Kayaking begins at 10:30 through hidden lagoons and tunnels such as K.A cave and Bats cave. At 12:30, the boat anchors at Ong Cam islet for a traditional Vietnamese lunch with free time to swim, relax, or socialize. The boat then sails at 13:30 through the southern part of Ha Long Bay, passing Vung Vieng fishing village, Dau Be Island, and two arches named Le Virgin and The Kite; this area is rarely visited and usually has only one or two other tourist boats nearby. At 14:30, guests kayak, swim, and visit Ba Trai Dao Beach, a quiet and natural spot with a temple beach and additional lagoons and arches. The boat returns to the harbor at 16:00 while guests watch the sunset. The van arrives at the office by 17:00.
