Overview

Take the "Special Diesel Car (SPECIAL EXPRESS DRC.)", which is very popular among railway enthusiasts and backpackers, to Ayutthaya, a World Heritage Site. From Ayutthaya Station, transfer to a tuk-tuk and efficiently visit six ruins with a Japanese-speaking guide. After a half-day of sightseeing around Ayutthaya's main spots, head back to Ayutthaya Station. Return to Bangkok by train.
