Overview

The tour begins by leaving Inverness and driving along the Caledonian Canal to Dores on the eastern side of Loch Ness. There, travelers spend about 15 minutes at a beach with views of Loch Ness and the Great Glen rift valley. Next, the group walks downhill through pine woods to the Falls of Foyers for a 30-minute visit. The coach then travels to Fort Augustus for a 45-minute break where participants can have lunch and watch boats navigate the Caledonian Canal. Note that until March 31, 2026, lunch stops will take place in Drumnadrochit instead. After lunch, the group visits Invermoriston Falls for a 30-minute walk among forests and waterfalls. The final stop is along Loch Ness itself, where travelers have an hour to walk around the grounds of Urquhart Castle, learning about its historical significance. The tour also includes a one-hour Jacobite Cruise on Loch Ness. Transport is provided in a 16-seat Mercedes luxury mini-coach with a professional driver-guide. The small-group format limits participants to a maximum of 16, with bookings capped at 8 per party. The tour lasts about 7 hours in total.
