Longqingxia Gorge, about 90 kilometers north of Beijing, is known for its wooded mountains, clear waters, and karst caves. This private day tour includes a 1.5-hour boat cruise along the gorge, passing landmarks such as Baihua Cave and the Immortal and Jingang temples. The cruise offers views of green peaks and the Gucheng Reservoir, constructed in 1981. After the cruise, the tour continues with a local lunch at a farmer’s home. The afternoon visit is to the Guyaju Cave Dwellings, a complex of 174 caves carved into rock faces by the Xiyi ethnic group between the Tang and Liao dynasties. These caves form two village-like clusters with rooms that have doors, windows, kitchens, and closets, resembling ant farms. The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off in Beijing, a private vehicle, an English-speaking guide, entrance fees, lunch, and all transportation costs. The total duration is about 9 hours.
