Overview

This walking tour in Paris provides entry to the Louvre Museum with a choice between a Mona Lisa escort or a guided visit lasting one to two hours. The tour begins at the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, located near the Louvre Pyramid, where the guide explains the monument commemorating Napoleon I's victory at the Battle of Austerlitz. From there, the group moves to view the Louvre’s gardens before entering the museum. Inside the Louvre, the tour covers major artworks including Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory of Samothrace, the Coronation of Napoleon, and other key pieces. Visitors learn about the history of these works and their creators. After the guided portion, guests have free time to explore the museum on their own. If selected, the tour also includes access to the Musée d'Orsay, a former railway station on the Seine known for its Impressionist and Post-Impressionist collections. Visitors can spend about two hours there viewing paintings and sculptures by Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, and Degas, while admiring the building’s architecture. The tour requires about one to two hours for the Louvre visit, with an additional two hours if the Musée d'Orsay option is chosen. Entrance tickets to the Louvre are included, and a live guide is provided if the guided option is selected. The Mona Lisa escort option offers a host to accompany guests directly to that painting. Cloakroom use is mandatory for umbrellas and luggage, and no elevators are available during the visit. Temporary exhibitions are not included in this tour.
