Overview

This full-day private tour in Luxor lasts about eight to nine hours and includes visits to major sites on both the East and West Banks of the Nile. The tour provides a private guide, hotel pickup and drop-off, and travel in an air-conditioned vehicle throughout the day. The tour begins on the East Bank with a two-hour visit to the Karnak Temple complex, an ancient Egyptian temple precinct covering more than 100 hectares. Next, the tour continues with a two-hour visit to Luxor Temple, built over many centuries by several pharaohs and once the center of important religious ceremonies dedicated to the god Amon. After crossing the Nile to the West Bank, the tour proceeds with a three-hour visit to the Valley of the Kings, which contains 63 royal tombs beneath the pyramid-shaped Al Qurn mountain and served as the burial site for New Kingdom pharaohs. The final stop is a two-hour visit to the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir Al Bahri, located at the base of limestone cliffs nearly 300 meters high. This temple is partly carved into the cliffs and has been carefully reconstructed. An Egyptian lunch is included during the day. Entrance fees to the temples and tipping are not included in the price.
