Overview

This private bus tour lasts about eight hours and covers key sites on both the East and West Banks of the Nile in Luxor. The day starts with hotel or airport pickup by a licensed guide and transfer in a private air-conditioned vehicle to the West Bank. The first stop is the Valley of the Kings, where visitors spend around two hours exploring royal burial sites including the tombs of King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, Ramesses VI, Merenptah, and Amenhotep II. Next is a two-hour visit to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also known as El Dir El Bahari, built by Egypt’s only female pharaoh who ruled during the 18th Dynasty around 1490-1469 B.C. Afterwards, the tour continues with a one-hour stop at the Colossi of Memnon, the remains of Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple. A lunch break at a local restaurant is included if the option is selected, excluding beverages. The tour then moves to the East Bank with a 90-minute visit to Karnak Temple, dedicated to the god Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. The day ends with a 90-minute visit to Luxor Temple, constructed by Amenhotep III and completed by Ramses II, after which travelers are returned to their hotel or Luxor airport. All entry fees depend on the tour options chosen and are included in the price.
