Overview

Magnolia Plantation is one of the oldest plantations in the southern United States and the only one on the Ashley River to survive both the American Revolution and the Civil War. This 4.5-hour guided tour includes a 45-minute narrated tram ride through swamps, past slave cabins and rice fields, where guests can observe wildlife such as alligators, egrets, herons, and turtles on the nearly 600-acre property. The tour also features a guided walk through America's last large-scale Romantic Garden, known as one of the most extensive in the US.
