Overview

This private tour in Malta lasts between 5 and 8 hours and is led by a friendly English-speaking local driver using a private air-conditioned vehicle. The itinerary is fully customizable to your preferences, with hotel or cruise port pickup and drop-off included. The driver is not a licensed tour guide but can share cultural insights about the island. You can choose to visit southern locations such as Valletta and the Blue Grotto or northern sites like Mdina and Dingli Cliffs. The tour covers a range of places, but shorter options (4, 5, or 6 hours) may limit how many destinations can be included due to travel distances. Stops can include Valletta, where you can walk through historic streets, visit Upper Barrakka Gardens, St. John’s Co-Cathedral, and possibly the Grand Master’s Palace and War Museums if time allows. The Three Cities area features Grandjola Garden and the streets of Cospicua. Marsaxlokk village offers a seafood market and harbor views. At the Blue Grotto, a local boat trip through the sea caves is optional and paid separately. The tour also includes Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park to see neolithic temples, Mdina’s medieval streets and views, and Rabat’s St. Paul’s sites as an optional add-on. Mosta Church is notable for its large dome and WWII history. The Dingli Cliffs provide coastal views and a short walk. Travel time back to your accommodation is counted within the total tour duration. Admission fees and the Blue Grotto boat ride fee are not included.

Optional visits include St. John’s Co-Cathedral with its Baroque interior and Caravaggio paintings, and the Grand Master’s Palace and War Museums if time and interest permit.
