Participants arrive at the iFLY Manchester indoor skydiving center at least 45 minutes before their scheduled flight time. After check-in, each person receives a flight suit, helmet, and goggles. A certified instructor provides full instruction before the flight begins. The indoor skydiving takes place in an 800-horsepower vertical wind tunnel that produces a wall-to-wall airflow strong enough to lift flyers safely. The wind speed increases gradually to between 130 and 175 mph, allowing participants to float inside the tunnel without jumping from a plane. Each person completes two individual flights, with one-on-one guidance from the instructor during each flight. The total free-fall time across the two flights is equivalent to three tandem skydives from 12,000 feet. The entire experience lasts about 90 minutes and can accommodate up to 13 people per session. At the end of the session, participants receive a certificate confirming their flight achievement.
