Overview

This four-hour tour begins with pickup at selected hotels in Manila. Travel by air-conditioned vehicle through Makati leads to Rizal Park, where visitors spend about 10 minutes viewing the statue of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal in this large urban park. The tour then proceeds to Old Manila, specifically Intramuros, the historic walled city. A 30-minute walk explores Spanish-era landmarks within Intramuros. Inside the walled city, the tour includes a 20-minute visit to Fort Santiago, a stone fortress built in 1593 by Miguel López de Legazpi, followed by 15 minutes at San Agustin Church, a Roman Catholic church under the Order of St. Augustine and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After Intramuros, the tour continues with a 15-minute stop at the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in Fort Bonifacio, located on the grounds of the former Fort William McKinley. The route also features a drive along Roxas Boulevard, a waterfront promenade lined with coconut trees and views of Manila Bay. A local English-speaking guide accompanies the tour throughout. Hotel pickup and drop-off at selected locations are included. Food, drinks, and gratuities are not included. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
