This tour begins with a walk into the Manuel Antonio rainforest near Quepos. Over about two hours, the guide leads through the forest as it darkens and changes from a bright, green environment with blue morpho butterflies near streams to a dark jungle filled with insect and amphibian sounds. The guide uses flashlights to help spot animals active at night, including tree frogs, snakes, insects, and mammals. The tour includes air-conditioned transport to and from the forest and a knowledgeable guide to assist with animal identification and safety throughout the walk.
