by Up A Creek Kayak Tours
This guided kayak tour lasts approximately one hour and fifty minutes and takes place around Marco Island and south Naples. A naturalist tour guide leads small groups of up to twelve people through the mangrove tunnels in this area. Participants aged twelve and older use single kayaks equipped with high-back seats and cupholders. Adults with children aged three to twelve use tandem kayaks, as children under twelve must ride with an adult. Two adults may share a tandem kayak only if an extra kayak is available. The kayaks are designed for shallow water and can access areas that pedal kayaks cannot. During the tour, the guide points out wildlife such as dolphins, manatees, birds, crabs, and conch shells, and provides information about the mangroves and the local history, including some lighthearted jokes. A photographer accompanies the tour and takes pictures of the group, which are provided free of charge on the same day. Water, sunscreen, gratuities, and parking fees are not included. The tour area does not have alligators. This tour is not recommended for paddlers over 300 pounds or for those with injuries to their hands, shoulders, arms, or back.
