This full-day self-guided wine tour by bike takes place in the Marlborough Region and lasts about six and a half hours. Participants are picked up free of charge from their accommodation in Blenheim or Renwick and transported to the base at Vines Village. At Vines Village, each person receives a bike, helmet, hi-visibility vest, lock, basket, and a detailed cellar door map with recommended wineries, cycle trails, and lunch spots. The Vines Village includes restrooms, a café, and a cellar door. Riders can explore over a dozen wineries located within three kilometers of the base at their own pace. If a bike breaks down, a replacement will be delivered quickly upon request. Bottle service is included, meaning wine purchases can be collected and stored free of charge. Optional paid upgrades are available for E-bikes, tandems, child tagalongs, trailers, and baby seats. During winter months (June to August), rain or shine, van support with umbrellas is provided at two points along the wine trail. This support allows easy walking access to up to eight stops, which include five cellar doors, whiskey and cheese tasting, a boutique gin distillery, restaurants, cafés, and gift shops. Winery tasting fees and lunch are not included in the tour price. The legal drinking age is 18, and photo ID is required for guests aged 18 to 25.
