This snorkeling tour departs from Ma'alaea Harbor and lasts about five and a half hours. The vessel is Maui's only triple-decker catamaran, offering plenty of seating, two water slides, a glass-bottom viewing room, and a "Jump for Joy" platform for guests who prefer not to snorkel or want to finish early. The tour first travels three miles (4.8 km) offshore to Molokini Crater, a volcanic islet and marine preserve. Guests snorkel in clear waters among fish, sea urchins, sharks, manta rays, and coral. After Molokini, the tour stops at Turtle Town, where guests can observe native marine life and birds. Snorkel gear and flotation devices are provided for use throughout the trip. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks - including chips, potato salad, fruit and vegetable platters, and chocolate chip cookies - are included, along with hot coffee, tea, sodas, and juice. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase after snorkeling ends. A professional captain and crew provide informative narration during the cruise. Snorkeling locations vary daily based on weather and sea conditions and are selected by the captain. Safety is a priority, and basic swimming ability is recommended. Wetsuits and Dramamine tablets are available to rent or buy onboard. The boat is wheelchair accessible for manual wheelchairs up to 28 inches wide, with a weight limit of about 280 pounds. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Molokini Crater is located between the islands of Maui and Kaho’olawe. This beautiful site is not only home to several fish species, but many species of birds, as well! The crater is a designated Marine Life Conservation District and bird preserve, so no fishing or climbing on the crater is allowed, but wearing flippers and a mask to watch the fish is perfectly wonderful. After your Molokini snorkeling, Calypso will whisk you to Turtle Town – a second snorkeling spot. Off the south side of Maui, Turtle Town is home to several large sea turtles as well as dynamic reef fish.
