Overview

The highlight of this two-day bus tour is the early morning visit to Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta. Boats carrying fresh produce gather on the river as buyers and sellers conduct their trade amid the lively scene. After the market, the tour visits a rice noodle factory to watch traditional noodle-making, then heads to a local market nearby. The tour begins on day one with a departure from Ho Chi Minh City around 7:45am. The journey passes through rice paddies and rural villages before stopping at Vinh Trang Pagoda. Then travelers reach My Tho for a boat ride along the Mekong River, including a sampan cruise through the coconut-lined canals of Ben Tre. Local workshops show how coconut candy and other specialties are made. Guests meet local families, sample tropical fruits and honey tea, and hear Southern folk music. After lunch, the trip continues to Can Tho, where guests check in to their hotel and have free time in the evening to visit the night market, riverside promenade, or cafes. On day two, an early start at 6:00am leads to the Cai Rang Floating Market visit. Following the market, the group returns to the hotel for breakfast and check-out. Next is a visit to the 10 Vo ancient house, a riverside home illustrating local architecture and traditions. Guests try making Vietnamese pancakes (bánh xèo) and enjoy lunch. There is an optional bike ride through the countryside to observe local life before returning to Ho Chi Minh City by about 4:45pm. The tour includes all boat trips, hotel pickup and drop-off within District 1 (excluding TanDinh and Dakao), an experienced English-speaking guide, transfers by air-conditioned van or bus, two lunches, and one hotel breakfast with vegan options. Accommodations are for one night at either a 3-star or 5-star hotel based on the selected option.
