Overview

The tour begins with hotel pickup at 07:30 AM from Districts 1, 3, and 4 in Ho Chi Minh City. The group travels southwest toward the Mekong Delta, arriving first at Vinh Trang Temple. This 19th-century pagoda combines European and Asian architectural styles and features detailed ceramic mosaics and gardens. Visitors should dress modestly, covering shoulders and knees. After about two hours at the temple, the tour continues with a motorboat trip along the Tien River, passing local fishermen and the four islands named Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. Next, passengers transfer to a small hand-rowed sampan to navigate narrow canals lined with water coconut palms. The boat stops at local workshops where coconut candy is made by hand and at a bee farm where honey tea is offered. The visit also includes a fruit orchard where honey harvesting is demonstrated and honey tea is tasted. After approximately three hours on the river and canals, the group arrives in Ben Tre for lunch at a riverside restaurant. The meal includes a set Vietnamese menu featuring Deep-fried Elephant Ear Fish, spring rolls, and local soup. Following lunch, there is time to walk through fruit orchards and listen to a live performance of Southern Vietnamese folk music. The tour ends with a return drive to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving in the late afternoon around 5:30 PM. The tour includes boat trips, entrance fees, mineral water, an English-speaking professional guide, air-conditioned transport, and lunch. A vegetarian lunch option is available upon request.
