This tour runs every day and lasts two days, starting with a pickup at 8:00 AM from Athens Train Station (Larissis Station). Participants travel by air-conditioned coach bus to Meteora. On the first day, there is a four-hour guided Majestic Sunset Meteora Tour that covers the giant rock formations and several of the six Meteora monasteries. An English-speaking local tour leader provides live commentary throughout the tour. A free smart audio guide is available in multiple languages during the tours. After the first day’s tour, travelers stay overnight at a 3-star hotel with breakfast included. A 4-star hotel option is available for an additional cost. On the second day, participants choose between two four-hour guided tours: the Panoramic Morning Meteora Tour or the Authentic Hiking Meteora Tour. Both tours include views of all six Meteora monasteries and the surrounding rock formations. The same tour leader continues to provide live English commentary, and the smart audio guide remains available. Hotel pickup and drop-off service is provided for both Meteora tours. At the end of the second day, transportation back to Athens by coach bus is included. Entrance fees to the monasteries, meals, drinks, tips, and hotel taxes are not included. Entrance fees are approximately 3 euros per monastery and must be paid in cash, as there is no ATM at Meteora. Appropriate clothing is required for monastery visits: women must wear skirts that reach the knee or longer and no pants, shorts, or sleeveless tops; men may not wear sleeveless shirts or shorts above the knee. Travelers must confirm their choice of second-day tour in advance; otherwise, they will be assigned the Panoramic Morning Meteora Tour by default.
