The tour begins inside the Met with a visit to the Ancient Egypt section, where well-preserved tomb models are displayed showing life during Tutankhamen’s era and burial customs. Next, the group sees Egyptian mummies including “William,” the museum’s mascot. The tour then moves to the Temple of Dendur, an ancient Egyptian temple installed within the museum near Central Park.
