Overview

This 2.5-hour 100% private tour includes pickup from the guest's accommodation in Mexico City. Transportation is provided in an air-conditioned vehicle, with a van or minivan used for groups of more than four people. The tour visits the entire Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe religious complex. It begins at the Atrio of the Americas, the main plaza of the complex. The group then enters the New Basilica, which houses the original 1531 tilma image of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Next, the tour continues to the Old Basilica and the site of the first chapel built where the Virgin appeared to Saint Juan Diego. Afterward, guests walk up the Hill of Tepeyac, passing small waterfalls and gardens, to reach the Chapel of the Flowers at the summit, which offers a view of Mexico City. Nearby is the monumental sculpture called The Offering, featuring two waterfalls. The visit concludes at the small chapel dedicated to Holy Water. During the tour, guests may choose to attend mass, pray before the tilma, and receive blessings with holy water. Religious items are available for purchase within the complex. The tour includes private transport, bottled water, a small snack, and vehicle air conditioning. Lunch is not included.
