Embark on a secret one-day adventure at the border of Miyagi and Yamagata, where you can dance with foxes, savor heartwarming noodles, and encounter the romance of "Spirited Away." First stop: Zao Fox Village – Home to over 100 foxes freely roaming in the forest, this is a real-life "Fox Kingdom"! From the proud red fox to the dreamy silver fox and the gentle arctic fox, each one has a unique personality. Some secretly follow you, while others curiously tug at your clothes, like furry little companions in a fairy-tale forest. You'll also have the opportunity to hold a baby fox and experience a truly fluffy, healing time. Second stop: Shiroishi Warm Noodles, Tsuriganean – In Shiroishi City, savor this traditional noodle dish with a 400-year history. These short, 10cm noodles are filled with the heartwarming story of filial piety from the Edo period. With no oil at all, they are full of love and craftsmanship, smooth and refreshing to eat, and can be enjoyed by adults and children alike, truly "warming the stomach and the heart." Third stop: Ginzan Onsen Street – A town with a strong Taisho-era romantic atmosphere. The model for the bathhouse in Hayao Miyazaki's "Spirited Away" is here! The wooden inns, gas lamps, and stone-paved roads along both sides of the Ginzan River offer picturesque scenery at every turn, as if you've traveled back to early Showa-era Japan. The winter snow scene is even more magical, paired with hot-spring-town-limited snacks like curry bread and stand-and-eat tofu. Stroll and eat, it's super delicious. This journey allows you to experience close contact between humans and animals, feel the warmth of a century-old culinary tradition, and immerse yourself in Japan's most charming hot spring town. Every step feels like walking into a gentle Japanese drama.
