by Paddle Moab
This 4-hour rappelling activity in Moab begins with a hike along rock fins leading to the Medieval Chamber slot canyon. The first rappel descends into the canyon, where participants see sandstone layers formed over millions of years. After exiting the slot canyon, the group completes a second free-hanging rappel of 120 feet next to Morning Glory Natural Bridge, which spans 243 feet and ranks among the longest natural land bridges in the United States. The tour concludes with a hike along Grandstaff Canyon toward the Colorado River. The experience includes a professional licensed guide, all necessary rappelling equipment, and transportation to and from the canyon. Participants must bring their own water bottle.
Medieval-Chamber Slot Canyon
The hike covers about 1 mile along rock fins leading to two rappels. The first rappel descends into Medieval Chamber slot canyon, where visitors walk along the canyon floor to observe sandstone layers formed over millions of years. The canyon then widens for the second rappel, a 120-foot free-hanging descent beside Morning Glory Natural Bridge. After the rappel, visitors can continue a 2.5-mile hike down Grandstaff Canyon toward the Colorado River.
