This guided off-road tour takes you through the Mojave Desert in a Polaris RZR over about four hours. The tour includes a 30-minute safety briefing and a 30-minute shuttle ride to the Base Camp before you start exploring. You will spend roughly 2.5 hours driving or riding along desert trails, navigating hills, and passing Joshua trees. You will visit rugged areas of the Nevada desert that are rarely seen by visitors, including Sandy Valley where you will see rock formations and desert flora. The guide will point out unique plants and animals such as the protected desert tortoise. There is an option to switch drivers during the tour so everyone can participate. Bottled water and snacks are provided, along with all necessary safety gear including full-faced helmets. The tour finishes back at Base Camp before returning to the Las Vegas Strip if hotel pickup and drop-off are selected. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
Passengers need to be a minimum of 12 years old and accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Participants are required to wear comfortable UPF clothing and closed-toe, closed-heel shoes to join.
Tours include about 30 minutes of safety briefing plus roughly 30 minutes of shuttle driving to Base Camp, so trail start times may vary slightly.
Full-face helmets must be worn whenever the vehicle is operated and will be provided.
After returning to the hotel, guests should allow time to clean up as some dirtiness is expected if the tour is done correctly.
An adult passenger must present a passport or valid ID whether driving or not.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle or equipment during the tour.
Tours will be cancelled without refund if guests are under the influence of any substance, legal or illegal, due to safety concerns.
If self-transporting to Base Camp, guests should use Google Maps since other mapping services may direct to the wrong location.
The Base Camp is located at 21016 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Jean, NV 89019, which may sometimes appear as Sloan, NV.
The location is approximately 30 minutes south of the Strip.
Minors are allowed but must be able to hold the handhold, place feet firmly on the floorboard, keep their back against the backrest, and have the seatbelt or harness fastened.
For safety, individuals should be about 54 inches tall.
A valid credit card must be provided for a temporary hold of $750 per day, up to a maximum of $1,500, for the reduced vehicle damage deductible insurance, per vehicle.
If selecting the Passenger Ride Only option (riding with the guide without driving), all adult passengers must have a valid driver's license, ID, or passport.
For the Passenger Ride/No Drive option, guests do not operate the vehicle and no credit card hold or damage deductible applies.
This tour is not recommended for travelers with neck problems.
