Overview

This five-hour small-group boat tour departs from the Kihei Boat Ramp at 7 AM, with check-in starting at 6:30 AM. The boat travels quickly to Molokini Crater, arriving early to avoid crowds. Guests snorkel for about two hours in the clear waters around the crater, where visibility often exceeds 180 feet (55 meters). Tropical fish, rays, and other marine life are commonly seen. A continental breakfast of hot cinnamon rolls and fruit is served on board during the visit. After snorkeling the main crater, guests also snorkel on the rarely visited backside of Molokini Crater. Following this, the boat moves along the South Maui coastline, passing recent lava flows and Keawakapu Beach on the way to La Perouse Bay. At La Perouse Bay, in an area called 'Turtle Town,' guests swim with Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. A deli lunch is provided before the boat returns to the Kihei Boat Ramp. Snorkeling equipment and services of a local guide and instructor are included. Guests must be able to climb a vertical ladder to reboard the boat after snorkeling. The tour is not recommended for children under eight, pregnant individuals, those with back or neck injuries, or people prone to seasickness.
