Overview

This tour recreates a traditional Jamaican bamboo rafting trip along the Great River in Montego Bay. Guests board a 30-foot handcrafted bamboo raft for a ride lasting about 90 minutes. The raft is equipped with a Bluetooth speaker so participants can play their own music during the trip. While drifting down the river, guests can enjoy the natural surroundings and relax. Included in the tour is a limestone foot massage designed to smooth the skin. There is an option to upgrade to a full-body massage by arranging this with the raft captain during the tour. The raft can also be personalized in advance with birthday signs and balloons. During the ride, guests have the opportunity to learn basic Patois phrases. Food, drinks, and other items can be purchased separately. Round-trip transportation is included unless the booking option specifies no transport. Safety gear such as life vests is provided, and the vehicle used for transfers has air conditioning. Weight limits apply for safety, and extra fees may be charged if additional rafts are required for heavier guests.

Travelers will have a authentic Jamaican rafting experience. This includes a Lime stone Massage of the leg. There is a additional cost for a full body massage. Guest will also interact with locals, learn about the history of the area. A guided tour down The Great River on a 30-foot bamboo raft. 2 person per raft, Raft weigh Limit is 500lbs both Traveler. Please note weight limit is observed for this activity. The Great River is one of the main water source for Montego Bay and surrounding Communities. There will be local cuisine at local cook shop (hole in the wall) at additional cost (optional). menu normally includes Curried Goat, Pork, Oxtail, Fry, curried or brown stew Chicken. Rafting experience is expected to last 75 - 90 mins. All Rafting ends at the starting point except in cases of high river condition. High River condition is where the river level rise due to rain in other areas. At that point it is not possible to return to the starting point due to safety reasons. If you need an extra touch to your raft such as balloons or decoration let us know in advance especially for birthday celebrations or special events.
