Historic-Cellar-Barrels
Following the principles for aging fine red wines, rows of large Slavonian oak barrels are well preserved, containing thousands of hectolitres of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Additional rows hold dozens of tonneaux and barrique barrels made from quality French wood. Deeper within the historic cellar, tunnels carved into sandy tufa lead into dimly lit passages where fossils have been discovered, indicating the cellar's ancient origins.
