This small-group bus tour departs from Barcelona and lasts about six to seven hours. Guests must check in at the Castlexperience office near Barcelona Nord Bus Station at least 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time, which is either 8:30 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. depending on the season. The group travels by shared, air-conditioned bus to Montserrat mountain. Upon arrival, there is a one-hour guided tour of the Montserrat Monastery led by an English-speaking local guide. The tour includes skip-the-line tickets to the Montserrat Basilica. After the guided visit, guests have one hour of free time to explore the monastery area independently and try traditional foods made by Montserrat monks or local farmers. If the winery option is selected, the tour continues to a historic winery located in a 10th-century castle, such as Oller del Mas or another similar family-owned boutique winery. At the winery, guests walk through the vineyards and receive a guided explanation of the wine production process. This visit includes tasting three gourmet wines paired with a tapas lunch and dessert. An optional VIP Winery Experience can be added, offering private access to the barrel room for a small-group tasting of three additional premium wines. This tasting is led by a wine expert and includes samples drawn directly from oak barrels and large foudres using a traditional pipette. The VIP experience takes place in an intimate setting usually closed to the public. The tour does not include hotel pickup or drop-off, the Montserrat Boy's Choir performance, or the cogwheel train ride. Groups are limited to 20 people per guide, with shared transportation.
