Overview

This four-hour guided pub crawl takes place in the Lapa neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro and includes free entry to selected bars. The evening begins at a cozy bar where the group gathers to learn some basic samba moves and receives a welcome shot of cachaça. Throughout the night, participants receive free shots of cachaça between stops and while waiting in line at certain bars. The tour includes visits to rooftops and historic landmarks, with a photo stop and a brief explanation of the history and cultural importance of a well-known Rio landmark early in the evening. There is also time to enjoy city views and relax before the music starts. The main part of the night features visits to traditional samba bars. The first samba stop is at Avenida Mem de Sá, 80 in Lapa, where an authentic samba circle with live music and dancing takes place for about fifty minutes. This is followed by an hour spent listening to live samba music performed by skilled musicians, focusing on the roots of the genre. The night concludes with a lively Latin party lasting about an hour, where guests can dance and celebrate together. The final stop is a local bar with live samba music. Additional drinks beyond those included are not part of the tour. The experience is designed to offer a safe and authentic night out in Rio, moving beyond typical tourist activities.
