Overview

The tour starts early in the morning in Ubud with private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle to the base of Mount Batur. The guided trek to the summit takes about two hours and is suitable for people with moderate fitness. Participants should bring warm clothing and hiking shoes due to cool temperatures before sunrise. Upon reaching the summit, there is time to watch the sunrise and see views of the volcano and Batur Lake. After the trek, the guide leads the group to a local coffee plantation to observe how coffee is grown and processed. The tour includes a private guide for the trekking, entrance fees to the Mount Batur Guide Office and Kintamani Village, breakfast, and transportation. The total duration of the tour is approximately eight hours. A visit to the nearby hot springs is not included but can be arranged separately for an additional entrance fee.
