Fuji and Hakone often experience severe traffic jams on weekends and during Japanese holidays, so to avoid impacting your itinerary, we strongly recommend that you depart as early as possible and return early. According to Japanese chartered car industry regulations, all driving time (including uncontrollable delays such as traffic jams, road closures, and temporary traffic control) is included in the chartered car service hours. If overtime is caused by traffic congestion, an additional fee will be charged according to regulations.
