Overview

The tour begins with pickup at downtown Seattle hotels, then heads toward Mount Rainier National Park for a full day of sightseeing lasting about 10 and a half hours. The group travels in a small vehicle limited to 10 people, accompanied by a local naturalist guide who provides information about the park's environment and wildlife. Entry fees to the park are included. Visitors start by walking among old-growth forests near Longmire, stopping to see waterfalls and mountain views along the way. At Christine Falls, a short walk leads to a classic waterfall viewpoint. Narada Falls is another stop reachable by foot, where several waterfalls can be seen on the route up the mountain. The tour spends about three hours at Paradise Valley. During summer, guests can hike a sub-alpine trail and pick wild berries. In winter, snowshoeing is available on an introductory trail using snowshoes and poles provided by the operator. Paradise also includes a visit to the Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center, which offers interpretive displays about the park. Myrtle Falls is accessible via an easy trail through meadows with frequent views of Mount Rainier’s peak. Reflection Lakes offers a chance to see the mountain reflected in the water. The group also visits the Longmire Museum area, where there are mineral springs, trails, and facilities for refreshments and restrooms. Two short loop trails, the Trail of the Shadows and Twin Firs Loop, feature large old-growth spruce and fir trees and views of Mount Rainier. Throughout the day, the mountain’s peak is visible from multiple stops. Lunch, snacks, tea, and coffee are included. Additional warm clothing can be requested if needed. The tour ends with return transportation to the original Seattle pickup locations or nearby. This itinerary is a sample and may change based on weather, season, and group interests. The company holds exclusive permission to explore areas beyond the park road that other tour companies cannot access.
